By far, the most technological invention to benefit society is the development of the engine. Nothing provides transportation better than a working engine. Once the engine was created, it was easier to move around. Following this creation, there were more like it to follow. With more than one, more people can enjoy the marvelous way of transportation that is the engine. Finally, the engine was a starting point for new ways of movement. Now that things could run on a simple engine, people had a desire for new ways of movement. Although the engine was created in the 1760s, it triggered a roar of new inventions that would still be used almost 240 years later.

One invention that sparked after the engine was the automobile. The first automobile was invented in 1769.The automobile was used for many things. It was used to get people from point A to point B faster. It was also used to transport goods. It was originally run by a steam engine, but when the gas engine was put in it and they discovered it worked better. This also sparked a new invention, the gas station. The engines ran on gas. Therefore there needed to be a place to get gas.

Because there were more engines created after the first worked, new ways of transportation were created. Such an invention as the airplane. The airplane was first sought as a balloon. It then bloomed into a classic style plane by the Wright brothers. The airplane was used for many things as well. It was used for transportation of people and goods over seas. It is also used for military uses such as fighter jets and even helicopters. This invention is used for many important tasks.

Airplanes and automobiles were run by engines, but those are not the only inventions that boomed from the engine. Another was the boat. Now, the boat was very essential to survival in society. It shipped goods to different parts of the world. It also brought in goods from different parts of the world. Although it was used for business, it was also used for pleasure. It was used for cruises and on vacation. Boats are one of the most universally used parts of transportation.

So, you ask what is the most important technological invention to benefit society? By far, the most important technological invention to benefit society is the engine. It is used for many things. It is used as transportation. It is used for military use in boats, airplanes and vehicals. Lastly, it is used for pleasure such as vacation or cruises to a beautiful island. The only down fall now, is that the engine may fade a little in the future with these hybrid cars. But as long as things run on gas, the engine will be here.
